About Dawn
My name is Dawn Mills and I live on the east coast of Florida. I have lived in this area of Florida since 1980. I have four children, who are all out on their own now. I also have 6 grandchildren, 2 girls and 4 boys. They are my drive to preserve the past so that they know our family, which is now spread worldwide. One Sister, 4 brothers and my beloved parents who live in southeast Missouri has not lived around each other for a while now so I found digital scrapping a great way to share my children with my family.
I have always been a creative person with a lot of hobbies. I have tried my hand at drawing, cross-stitching, needlepoint, sewing (clothes and crafts), and ceramics over the years. My two favorites are: 1) Digital photography, which got me interested in digital scrap booking so that I could show off the thousands of photos that I have, and 2) Quilting, which is very time consuming but relaxing while watching a movie. I still love it, but haven’t done much of it in the past few years, too busy Scrapping, blogging and hopping around Scrapland.
Although I do design….my passions is Creative Layout Artist. I love scrapping for others. Making them smile with my creations really gives me an inter happiness worth more than words can express. I have been digital scrapping for about 5 years now. As I learned the programs, I totally got hooked. I became a Creative Designer and have been doing that for the past 3 or 4 years for many designers and friends. Presently I am a member of Charlie’s Digiscraps CT Team and enjoy working with her and her team. Along with Working with Designs by Sassy on her creative team as well. Both Very helpful and super creative! And last but not least as she is my best friend and awesome teacher, I have been working as Bon Scrapatit’s Design aka Linda person CT.
I have been designing for almost 2 ½ years. I enjoy blogging and creating things for my blog followers. I have some of my designs at ONE SINGLE SEED (formally, Treasures to Scrap). I have a wonderful support team, Bon Scrapatit Designs aka Linda Walton, Monna Lainson Designs aka Monna and Designs by Sassy aka Sarah along with the awesome staff at OSS, Tracy and Robin. I currently have 2 CT members, Darlene aka Scrappy and my youngest daughter Dusty. Who is really following in her mother’s addiction….scrapping our little darlings faces as fast as we take the photos…LOL.
I have met MANY awesome, sweet and caring people in the years I have been digital scrapping and found “Scrapland” via the web. There are many of you VERY dear to my HEART and I like to calling us …The Sisterhood of the Traveling Digiscrappers. Dawn, thank you so much for this lovely DL! It’s just so beautiful! I love the colors (I esp love this shade of green). It’s a gorgeous kit that can be used for much more than Heritage – I’ll direct anyone I know on over!
