Description

What kit would be complete without an matching alpha? I love the 3D alpha's I've been seeing in other kits, and it was about time this old dog learned a new trick.

You get a full upper case Alpha, don't let that missing "Z" in the preview fool you, all in the fun, new 3D style.

About Toiny

My real name is Toiny (Twah-Knee), short for Antoinette… which is really only used by my mother when she is angry.  So, Toiny.  I design under Piggy Scraps Design and I own Stone Accents Studio as well as, a very recent event, Digital Paper Hearts.

I have six kids, 5 boys and 1 girl.  My two oldest are off at college, which was unbelievably hard at first.  But now I’m really enjoying finding my favorite snacks in the pantry, rather than empty wrappers hidden under beds.  It is a little difficult having a 2-year-old and a 17-year-old under the same roof.   Their needs are so different, but at the same time seeing them together is beyond sweet.  We just moved to Stuttgart, Germany in August.  In fact, we are still in a tiny but elegant hotel room.  We hope to have a “yes” or “no” on a fantabulous house this week.  I’m very open to well-wishes, prayers, buddha-belly-rubs!

Some of my favorite designing is making frames and elements using custom shadows.  I love the effect of elements popping off the page.  It’s something I really struggled with when I began scrapping and I still appreciate finding pre-shadowed & clustered items in the kits I buy.  But my absolute favorite is colors & palettes.  I can spend hours looking at colors & palettes, something the Designers in my store seem to really appreciate come Mega kit time.

Most of my creativity is inspired by fabrics and clothing.  When I first realized I had a creative side I was newly married and my husbands grandmother turned me on to quilting.  I still adore quilting.  I can spend hours searching for fabrics and quilt patterns.  A lot of the colors & patterns I see while in quilt shops find their way into my work.

My husband bought me a Canon SLR when we moved to Stuttgart.  I have yet to touch it.  He, however, has gotten a fantastic eye for photographing the flowers and elements I need for my kits.  We may just be the first couple that has been brought closer with digital scrapbooking!  I love extracting his elements and flowers, that to me is the ultimate zen in scrapbooking.  It is what I do to relax.  I also enjoy creating brushes out of photographs, graphics & my own doodles to help make my designs unique.  Textures for papers, however, give me difficulty.  I am a huge fan of realistic paper, clear and well-defined textures.  I have a hard time making those myself.  Maybe I just need a better camera and a better scanner.
